Zulum Gives N12.8m To Borno Army Recruitment Candidates

The Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has given N12.8m as support for 641 candidates from the state currently at their final stage of recruitment into the Nigerian Army for 2021.

Zulum announced the support on Wednesday while addressing the candidates at the Maimalari Barracks in Maiduguri.

The Governor was received at the barracks by the Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Maj. Gen. Christopher Musa.

The 641 candidates, each of whom would get N20,000, were said to be those who passed different stages of medical and fitness tests and would soon leave for final military fitness exercises at Falgore Game Reserve in Kano from where successful candidates would be recruited into the Army.

The Governor, in addition to the N12.8m, approved N15,000 monthly stipends to support each of the 641 candidates during the last stage of the recruitment.
