Remember Nigeria In Prayers, Lawan Urges Muslims

The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has urged Muslims on Ramadan to remember Nigeria in their prayers as the country seeks to overcome the challenges it is facing.

He urged them to stress the messages of peace, love and national unity as the fasting period begins across the Islamic world.

He also urged them to use the period for sober reflection, self-discipline and sacrifice.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Ola Awoniyi, titled ‘Senate President urges peace, national unity and prayers for Nigeria during Ramadan.’

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs had yesterday announced that Ramadan will start in the country today, April 13.
