Parents, School Owners Lament Delay In Release Of NECO Results

Some parents and school owners have complained about the delay in the release of the 2021 Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by the National Examination Council results.

The exam commenced on Monday, July 5, 2021 and ended on Monday, August 16, 2021.

Some parents said their children and wards required the results to sit Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and process admission into tertiary institutions.

The Chairman, Topdeal College & 3G Educational Services, Ikorodu, Lagos, MrOladejiAkinola, explained that some schools would not accept awaiting results, adding that it was important that NECO results were released early so that the candidates would not miss admissions having passed the UTME.

However, the spokesman for NECO, AzeezSani, said the council had finished marking the 2021 SSCE and the results would be out soon.
