Kano Trains 4,800 Youths For Community Policing

The Kano state Government holds a passing out parade of 4,800 youth drawn from the 44 local government areas of the state, who have acquired community policing skills.

This was disclosed by the governor during the passing-out parade of some of the trained youth at Kano State Corporate Security Institute, Gabasawa, Kano.

It was gathered that out of the 4,800 trainees, 150 came from each of the metropolitan areas and 100 each from others.

The governor says the people have to be up and doing in ensuring safer Kano and Nigeria.

The governor says the state accords special consideration to community policing, adding that there are community policing committees at all levels; from community, ward, local government and to state level.

At the occasion, 500 KAROTA personnel and 230 corporate security trainees were included in the passing-out ceremony.
