The two factions of the All Progressives Congress in Kwara State, says they will participate in the congresses of the party slated to commence on Saturday.
Following the crisis among the leaders, the party has broken into two factions with one headed by the State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq while the other group consists of members loyal to the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
Speaking at a press conference in Ilorin, Alhaji Abdullahi Samari, Chairman of APC Caretaker Committee in the state, called on members to conduct themselves peacefully during the congresses.
Samari, while welcoming members of the Ward Congress Committee from the National Secretariat of the party led by its chairman, Alhaji Shuaib Umar, says the Ward Congress of the party would hold in the state.
He added that the guideline would be strictly enforced to ensure fair participation by all members who can vote and be voted for.
Also, the Chairman of the APC faction loyal to the minister, Bashir Bolarinwa, says his group would participate in the congresses.
